As I mentioned earlier this week, Kate Bush is another artist who I use to play non-stop in my art studio years ago in college. It's always a pleasant surprise to revisit songs, which you have loved so many years ago and still til this day the song somehow inspires you. "This woman's work" was one, which I fell in love with instantly. The mood, the lyrics, Kate's voice all together just makes this track one that I feel is just overall beautiful and heartfelt.

This summer season has flown by so quickly that in just a few weeks, leaves will start falling from trees, humidity will become nonexistent, and autumn will suddenly appear. I am not the only who feels this way. This past weekend, I met up with friends, who also asked .... where has the summer gone to? Although vacation time will be paused until the Holidays, I am very excited about the autumn season. Number one reason is of course the debut of de*nada's new autumn and winter line in September. But the second reason is because that means Halloween is creeping up! Funny, but Halloween is one of my favorite days of the year. I know I am too old to trick o treat ... but if I could, I would ... I mean who wouldn't want to dress up like someone else and get free candy for doing so.
Kiersten Essenpeis also agrees with me. Check out her Halloween series (inspired by all things spooky + generic). For more information, visit www.youfail.com

Sleep is something that if I could do it all day and night, I would. It's one of those necessities my body requires in which I have no complaint about fulfilling. And I think the main reason why I am so in love with sleeping, is because that's my time to dream. Most people don't remember what they dreamed about. I, on the other hand, do. My dreams are so crazy sometimes that I make a huge effort to remember my dreams ... sometimes writing them down right after I wake up. It's sort of like "movie time" for me, yet I have no control over what film is about to play ... it's up to mind to choose whether it wants to play a comedy, drama, thriller or my favorite, romantic comedy.
In regards to the subject of sleep, I recently found these beautiful photographs by Claire Sloan entitled, "Sleep for Days." For more information, please visit www.clairesloanphotography.com

"It's a rarity that I get an out-of-the-blue e-mail pitching a product I actually like, to the point that I have opted off most press release mailings. But, once in a blue moon, somebody sends along something that's new and great and I instantly recant everything I've muttered under my breath.
Yesterday's e-mail from Virginia, the owner and lead designer of De*Nada, definitely fell into that category. Check out these glorious handknit accessories. Finally, a diamond in the rough of my inbox! There's an online shop coming in September!" - Ill Seen, Ill Said.
Wow, what lovely, sweet words from Ill Seen, Ill Said! To have this support from blogs that you read daily and love is such a huge compliment. Thank you for posting this!

The three works on this album were composed over the last four years, a period which saw Armstrong searching for a personal style of composition to reflect his musical influences. In his approach to the acoustic world of classical music he has applied procedures used in recording electronic music. "I wanted to find a direct language, using tonality but firmly rooted in the 21st century," explains Armstrong, "an abstract, diffuse way of writing, much like an abstract painting with blurred images and subtle nuances of color. I've always had a fascination with sonority and orchestration.

"I've always been one for creative projects and art and crafts. When I was five, I convinced myself that pouring mud onto cardboard was how to make concrete. I began drawing as a young child, but it wasn't until a few years ago when I decided to practice everyday, that I started getting better.I would draw some days for 15 hours straight till my hands were swollen shut. When I was 13, I started my own clothing company and ran it with the help of my friend till I was was in college. I studied Photography at Cal Poly SLO, and then later studied Fashion Design at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. My artwork was honored by being the first featured portfolio of 2007 Graduates on the WGSN Generation Now Website, a unique showcase of graduating talent from the world’s leading universities and design colleges.I've been blessed to have my artwork featured in multiple publication in countries I hope to visit some day."

Doing my normal "blog hopping," I stumbled upon a new and favorite blog of mine, Le Love Image, which is "dedicated to romantic, sweet, lovey dovey, sexy and heart fluttering images." I think it's fantastic, and really love their choice of images, text, etc ... I guess it's primarily cause I am a romanticist at heart. But seriously, who doesn't love love?
