A few days before flying out to Vegas, Jordan + Justin of Readyset DC came by my office to do a feature on de*nada. First, let me just say that I truly respect these guys. The day of the interview, DC was hit by a crazy blizzard. Despite the inclement weather, they trekked through the snow to get to my place and conduct the interview. That is truly awesome! My fiance and I made sure to greet them with hot chocolate and tons of dry towels :) Thank you Jordan + Justin!

I love this video! In fact, I love any sort of "behind the scenes" look into a designer/artist's life. For me, it allows me to get a glimpse of their creative process + passion for what they do, which is overall so inspirational! In this video, siblings Laura + Kate Mulleavy (of Rodarte) talks about their creative process and inspirations for their fall + winter line 2008. Enjoy!

While we were in Las Vegas last week showcasing de*nada's autumn + winter '10 line at Capsule Show, I received a wonderful email from Gene at hoodscopeSF, a San Francisco lifestyle blog. He informed me that local blogger, Michelle Elaine from www.fvncy.com recently did a guest post on Hoodscope, and she featured de*nada's braided roped scarf (which she purchased from Painted Bird in San Francisco). This past Valentine's Day, my fiance and I flew out to Las Vegas to showcase de*nada's autumn + winter 2010 collection at Capsule trade show, held at the Venetian. This was our first time participating at Capsule, and we must say that this show was amazing for us! The overall vibe at Capsule was fantastic, and we send out our sincere thank yous to Capsule for such a great experience. We look forward to your next show!

what to do when it snows like crazy?

This past weekend, DC was hit hard with a huge snow storm ... 24-36 inches! It started out on Friday afternoon and went on throughout the night and did not stop until Saturday evening! My sincere apologies goes out to my customers who placed orders on Friday. I was hugely disappointed when I trekked over to the post office on Friday afternoon to drop off orders only to find it closed early! (*big frown). No worries, I will be delivering orders first thing Monday morning.

So what to do when it snows like crazy? To prevent cabin fever, my sis + bf and my fiance and I decided to voyage around the city with the puppies making stops at a few key places: 1. 7-eleven for hot dogs w/ the works and hot chocolate (our pups had a hot dog w/out the works :)) 2. doggy park, so that mia + kobi can play and enjoy the snow ... bullying a dog or two and posing for a few pics ... and lastly, 3. sno-ffiti a snow man (not my idea).

To those who experienced DC's storm this past weekend, be sure to stay warm, have fun in the snow ... and of course, be safe!
