wednesday: playlist no. 2.

Lately, I've been obsessed with Grooveshark. Although their "radio" recommendations doesn't compare to Pandora, I still love that I can create my own playlist, export it if I want to, or simply save it onto their site. So far, I've only created two mini's (one below is my second :)). But I'm hoping to create more as the months go by; all reflecting my moods and taste ... so that while I'm working I have music I like on hand to listen to. Hope you like!

films: exit through the gift shop.

I recently saw the trailer for Exit Through the Gift Shop, "the story of how an eccentric French shop keeper and amateur film maker attempted to locate and befriend Banksy, only to have the artist turn the camera back on its owner with spectacular results. Billed as 'the world's first street art disaster movie' the film contains exclusive footage of Banksy, Shephard Fairey, Invader and many of the world's most infamous graffiti artists at work." This film looks amazing, and I can't wait til it premieres in DC on April 30th!

wednesday: playlist.

A few weeks ago, my friend Lorraine introduced me to Grooveshark, an online music search engine and music streaming service allowing users to search for, stream, and upload music free of charge that can be played immediately or added to a playlist. The best part (for me, at least), is that you can create your own playlist and share it with others on your website, blog, myspace, etc ... I love it! Below, is my first playlist of songs that I'm currently listening to:

loves: my mornings.

Lately, I've been having trouble getting out of bed; especially on Mondays. Normally, I'm awake by 7am sometimes 5am to start my day off. But lately, it's been quite difficult to pull myself out from underneath my comfy sheets. I'm not depressed or anything. Nor am I lazy. It's just that sometimes I rather stop my "daily" routines and just enjoy the moment. Forget about the stress, forget about my responsibilities, stop thinking about what has to be done, and what isn't done and just enjoy what's going on around me. For instance, this morning: my two shepherds snuggled closely against my legs (snoring gently). My fiance's right arm draped over me as I lay on my side. The morning sun, a mix of orange and yellow illuminating my bedroom. The warmth, the silence, I can't help but cherish this moment.

Images below, are images that I found on http://vi.sualize.us (related to sleep + bed), which I find absolutely beautiful.

loves: wedding gawker.

My friend, Ginny recently sent me this link, Wedding Gawker (http://weddinggawker.com) ... a gallery of wedding-inspired photographs where brides/grooms to-be can get inspiration and ideas for their wedding day. LOVE this site! I, for one, have been having trouble finding the time to organize let along think about my wedding. This site, though is a perfect go-to site to quickly get inspirations for my wedding.

Here are a few of my favorites:

peru moda 2010.

As I mentioned prior, in a few short weeks I'll be traveling down to Lima, Peru to complete de*nada's holiday collection, plan for my wedding (oh my!), and most importantly attend Peru Moda. Peru Moda is the main event of the Peruvian fashion industry. It showcases the best of the Peruvian export supply in apparel, footwear, accessories and jewelry ... providing great resources and opportunities for emerging brands, like myself ... and we are thrilled to be invited to attend :) Now, all I have to do is just polish up my Spanish, and I'm good to go!

feliz lunes.

So sorry for the slight "absence" with my blogging. Lately, I have been insanely busy planning my trip to Peru, which is set for the end of this month, April. Since I'll be completing de*nada's holiday collection, attending Peru Moda, and planning my wedding all during this trip, I have been insanely overwhelmed with tons of prep work. However, I'm back to blogging and I hope that everyone is doing fantastic and had a wonderful Easter this past weekend!

Here in DC, the weather was absolutely gorgeous! Sunny, warm, and ... of course, dry. I spent pretty much all my free time outdoors taking advantage of the great weather. My weekend was so relaxing and chill, and pretty much included very long walks with my two dogs, several jogs here and there, and a few date nights with my fiance at local pubs.

It's amazing how a sun-filled weekend can lighten up your spirits and just rejuvenate your whole body. I woke up this Monday morning bright and early, ready to take on my work week!

Happy Monday!
