This past weekend, we traveled up to Queens, NY for BUST Magazine's Craftacular at Maker Faire! The event was two days long, filled with meeting new and awesome designers, chatting with fantastic customers, and of course showcasing and selling de*nada's new fall & winter 2010 collection.
The event was a complete success for us! We were so happy and pleased to see so many of our new styles sell out so quickly :) No worries though ... we plan on restocking our online shop later this week (all styles and colors) ... so stay tuned!
In the meantime, check out some photos we took of our booth at the festival!

Fall is officially here (*according to my calendar that is). And I couldn't be more thrilled for the changing of season. Fall is my favorite season of all! Not only does it mean that scarf time is just around the corner. But for me personally, I love waking up to the crisp, cool air, when the humidity has finally left the DC area ... when I can actually turn off the a/c and have the windows wide opened throughout my home. It's especially lovely seeing the leaves change their color throughout my neighborhood, perfect for a nice stroll outdoors with my camera, my fiancé, and my two puppies.
Here are few photos I found on VisualizeUs, which I found absolutely gorgeous and inspiring!
This week, we're highlighting de*nada's most popular style and my personal favorite, The Braided Roped! This lovely scarf is made up of several twisted strands (rope-like) with a crochet loop at one end. You can wear it a couple of different ways, but my favorite way is simply to wrap it twice around the neck, then loop the strands through the crochet loop. Simple, yet unique!
Shop now at denadadesign.com and receive 10% off The Braided Roped Scarf. Use discount code: braidedroped (limited time only: 09/22-10/01) Plus, FREE shipping on orders over $100 (*domestic only). Happy Shopping!
Our lovely friends at The President Wears Prada, who helped style the looks in our Form & Function video series, posted behind-the-scene pictures of the Form & Function shoot. Below, are few photos ... Check out the rest today on their blog!

de*nada was recently featured on Thrillist (DC edition) with a great article mentioning our Cowl Zig Zag, Zip Scarf w/ Pockets Stripes, and Slouch Beanie. About Thrillist: Each weekday, they'll drop you a must-have recommendation, from the best of what's new, to deeply under-the-radar goodness. We're talking absinthe-only cocktail spots, eateries that dish up BBQ Rattlesnake Salad and Reindeer in Bourbon Sauce, and ATMs whose currency is marijuana -- handy, although after making a withdrawal, you'll feel even more paranoid about the stocking repercussions of consuming Santa's only friend.
Thrillist comes in 17 city-centric editions, from Washington DC to London, with more on the way.

Here's a bit from the write up:
"From Virginia Blanca Arrisueño of De*Nada, we have a range of lovely handmade knits produced by artisans in Peru and inspired by Arrisueño’s own Peruvian heritage. The scarves, hats, and other cold-weather accessories for men and women showcase rich textures, interesting patterns, and lovely neutral shades. As a knitter myself, rarely caught without a scarf, the collection would already seem destined to please me – but then Virginia goes and adds pockets to a scarf, and I might be in love. I need to to see and touch the pieces in person to be sure, so it is lucky that SimplySoles is hosting a De*Nada trunk show on Friday as a part of their celebration for Fashion’s Night Out."
