It's 2011, and January is now February - I can't believe how time is flying by so quickly! Just a few days ago, I stepped off a plane from my three weeks travel down to Peru, South America. Close to a month, I spent almost everyday working on
de*nada's new fall & winter 2011 collection - editing samples, picking out colors, finalizing schedules, all this plus more - getting ready for next week's
fashion trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Though the reasons for my travels have become increasingly due to my growing business, my trips to Peru are not just all about work.
It's also a time when I can see my extended family - spend some time with my aunts, uncles, cousins - and most importantly my nieces and nephews, who I especially love to see, play and laugh with each and every morning when I am there.
It's also a time when I can escape the bitter winter weather, and enjoy the hot air and warm sun. Don't get me wrong - I love the winter - hence, the knits! But one of my loves is to run - and to run outside early every morning, late in evening, on the beach, or around the lagoon is just awesome.
And lastly, it's a time when I can regroup my thoughts, relax and recharge myself mentally and physically for the upcoming year. After a hectic and busy holiday season, a few weeks to recollect yourself and decompress is a definite necessity.
So now I am back in Washington DC - home sweet home - feeling refreshed, ready and very excited for all that we have planned for 2011! Stay tuned for upcoming sales, and new products and events!
