Love this Lookbook! - Cosmic Girl.

We at De*Nada love to share our inspirations! We are currently preparing for our upcoming lookbook for our aw/12 collection.  As we prepare, we are working hard to formulate ideas for the lookbook that are both different and inspiring.  Recently, I came across this great editorial that emphasizes on shapes and textures. 


This week's inspiration comes from french photographer, Marc Thirouin. Thirouin's work ranges from high fashion editorials to commercial advertisements.  He splits his time working in Paris, France and Oslo, Norway. His work is often influenced by the various places he lived and portray his inner world, which he describes as being "mellow and strange." 

The title of this editorial is called Cosmic Girl.  It was featured in Sva Magazine, a biannual fashion magazine in Norway.  Thirouin has a tendency to use unique and bold props in his photos, and nothing less is expected from this editorial.  All the geometric shapes seen in the photos were made of paper by set designer, Romain Lenancker. 

I found inspiration in Thirouin's use of geometric shapes and textures.  The model's voluminous ensembles are complemented by the 3-Dimensional props, which really contribute to the cosmic theme of the photos. I like how the shapes in the photos are emphasized by the simple backgrounds.  Texture and shape play a huge roll in the design process which can be easily identified through the designs created here at De*Nada.

Style Spotlight: Simple and Chic.

Today's Style Spotlight is from Chictopia, a fashionable online community connecting style seekers to tastemakers. This photo is from DIANAROGO. I chose this photo because I love how she looks so effortless and chic.  Plus, her cowl scarf look great with her outfit! Her cowl scarf reminds me of de*nada's Cowl Cable Knit.  We offer a variety of cowl scarves in different styles and colors.  Cowl scarves are great accents to add to any outfit. Though this look seems to be a fall look, it can easily be brought into the upcoming spring season.
