Press: The Capitol's Coolest Couple in New York Magazine!

My husband, Kelly Towles, and I were selected by DC Cool to be featured in New York Magazine as "The Capitol's Coolest Couple." We are both honored and excited to be included in this feature, and happy to share why we love DC, how this city inspires our work, and how we stay productive in our work/live spaces.

There's no place like home, and there are many reasons as to why Kelly and I have made DC our home. We met over 15 years ago while studying locally at the University of Maryland, and are constantly impressed with how our lives have developed here in this amazing city.

Proud to be Featured in the Premeire Issue of Washingtonian Mom!

Earlier this summer, I had a conversation with a young woman on the topic of being a new mommy, what that meant to me, and how I learned - and am still learning - how to balance work, family, and life.  As a mom and as a business owner, I shared with her how proud I am to be identified as both especially being a parent. For me - being a mom has enriched my identity and has taught me many new things. It has taught me about love, patience, compromise, and the importance of family.

After our conversation, I never thought that a week later I would receive an email from her asking me if I would be interested in being featured in a magazine - the premiere issue of Washingtonian Mom - along with three other notable moms whose insight, creativity, and style inspire adulation.

I am honored and humbled to be considered and included in this beautiful magazine, led by the Kate Bennet and designed by District-based Design Army LLC. Photographed by local fashion photographer and friend, Kate Warren and interviewed by the lovely Irina Grechko, I am beyond happy with the feature.

The premiere issue of Washingtonian Mom is currently out on newsstands and grocery stores in the Washington, DC metropolitan area - so be sure to pick up a copy today!

Press: We're in Refinery29!

Have you read Refinery29 DC today? If you haven't, owner and designer of DeNada, Virginia Arrisueño, was included in today's article "The Coolest Fashion Jobs in Washington-& How to Land Them." The article features a handful of local successful business owners, and interviews them about how they got to the position they're at, and some advice for you!

We know that owning a small business isn't easy! A lot of long hours of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice goes into to starting up and maintaining a business. And so, we are so proud that Virginia was included in this article amongst other successful business owners in the DC area. The article included Karla Colletto - swimwear designer, Aba Kwawu - founder of The Aba Agency, Adam Hanin - founder of Skye Associates, and Michelle Thomas - associate fashion editor of the Washingtonian.

New Press: DeNada's Work/Live Space in The Express!

We are so excited that our very own, Virginia Arrisueno's - owner and designer of DeNada - live/work space was included in last week's issue of the Washington Post Express in the Ready to Rent section.

The article titled, Inside the Crafter's Studio features a few small business owners with live/work spots in Washington, DC. The article interviews each small business owner on how they manage their business vs personal life, as well as advice for those are starting out in live/work spots.
